Olamide newly released a single titled Science Student and Nigerians far and near, have embraced the song. While some say the song might encourage drug abuse the more, Olamide however feels the song teaches otherwise. Taking to social media early hours of this morning, the WO crooner wrote;
Since the release of #ScienceStudent, the support has been massive. As you are all sharing, dancing, singing along to this relatable music of mine, I want you all to take some time to reflect on the subject, say no to drug abuse. Don’t abuse alcohol. stop mixing what you don’t know about. Live responsibly and drink responsibly. Don’t aspire the ‘highness state’ but a state of purpose fulfillment and passion discovery. Together let’s put an end to drug abuse and save as many lives as possible. The video will be out soon and I can’t wait for you all to see it. #SayNoToDrugAbuse #DrinkResponsibly #ScienceStudent

I think Olamide pattern of music really need him saying all those stuffs. Because his songs are for the streets. And those songs always take over the street just like #WO

The demolition of N800 million Music House belonging to popular musician, Yinka Ayefele, in Ibadan has finally divided Oyo State government. While the government’s lawyer, Yomi Alliyu, denied the involvement of the state government in the demolition exercise, the Special Adviser to the Oyo State governor on Physical Planning and Development Control, Waheed Gbadamosi, admitted that it was the government that demolished Ayefele’s Fresh FM building. Barrister Alliyu told the State High Court, presided by Justice Iyabo Yerima on Monday August 20, that the state has no hand in Ayefele’s misfortune. “My clients are men of honour that respect rule of law and constituted authority and will have no reason to demolish the said property,” Alliyu told the court. However, speaking at a press conference in Ibadan, Gbadamosi, said the government gave ample opportunity for Music House to regularise its building plan. The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has commended the gallantry of men of the Edo State Police Command, who foiled a robbery attack on a bank in Igarra, in Akoko Edo Local Government Area of Edo State.
