Within the past hour Manchester United have announced Alexis Sanchez as thier latest signing.
The Chilean superstar joins from Premier League rivals Arsenal in an exchange deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Sanchez could make his debut for us as early as this Friday’s FA Cup fourth round tie at Huish Park when we take on League Town struggles Yeovil Town.



The 29-year-old had been in the final six months of his contract at Arsenal with no intention on signing a new deal. Instead of allowing him to leave on a free transfer over the summer, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger decided to exchange the player for United flop Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Sanchez has been one of the best players in the world for nearly a decade. He has spent the past three-and-a-half-years at the Emirates, scoring 60 goals in 122 Premier League appearances, predominately out wide, and for a team that hasn’t come close to challenging for the title.
Manchester United have just released these photos of Alexis Sanchez in his new home and away kits:


United head coach Jose Mourinho added: “Alexis is one of the best attacking players in the world and he will complete our very young and talented group of attacking players. He will bring his ambition, drive and personality, qualities that make a Manchester United player and a player that makes the team stronger and the supporters proud of their club dimension and prestige.
“I would like to wish Henrikh all the success and happiness that I am sure he is going to get. He is a player that we will not forget, especially for his contribution to our Europa League victory.”
Sanchez was the only Premier League player to reach double figures for goals (24) and assists (10) last season and is eligible to take part in the knockout phase of the Champions League.

The demolition of N800 million Music House belonging to popular musician, Yinka Ayefele, in Ibadan has finally divided Oyo State government. While the government’s lawyer, Yomi Alliyu, denied the involvement of the state government in the demolition exercise, the Special Adviser to the Oyo State governor on Physical Planning and Development Control, Waheed Gbadamosi, admitted that it was the government that demolished Ayefele’s Fresh FM building. Barrister Alliyu told the State High Court, presided by Justice Iyabo Yerima on Monday August 20, that the state has no hand in Ayefele’s misfortune. “My clients are men of honour that respect rule of law and constituted authority and will have no reason to demolish the said property,” Alliyu told the court. The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has commended the gallantry of men of the Edo State Police Command, who foiled a robbery attack on a bank in Igarra, in Akoko Edo Local Government Area of Edo State. Obaseki expressed regret over the death of some persons while the attack lasted and prayed for the repose of their souls.
