According to Eze Ndigbo in South Africa, a Nigerian man identified as Mr. Donald Mordi, has been declared wanted by the South African Police for alleged murder. The suspect who hails from Ika northeast local government area of Delta state, is alleged to have killed a fellow Nigerian over cult-related matter before absconding. Meanwhile, the presidency has said that Nigerians killed in South Africa recently indicated that they were killed by fellow Nigerians, unlike the past when South Africans were killing Nigerians. Man Kills His Brother In-law In Benue The corpse tied on the motorcycle (Okada) is late Emmanuel Onwe. He was killed by his brother in-law, Mr Audu Friday at Okploba in Ogebe, Apa-Agila community, Ado Local Government Area of Benue State. According to the Commandant of Benue State Vigilante Group (BSVG), Apa Ward Chapter, Mr Gabriel Otse, Mr Friday Audu had a clash with his wife which resulted to him slapping her. Audu’s wife ran to her family members to lay the complain to her brother. Her brother, late Emmanuel Onwe went with four of his friends to fight his brother in-law, Mr Friday Audu. He was shot at the viewing centre this evening not because he couldn’t afford to watch the match at his personal residence or a more secured place, but for the supposed joy he will share with the people which eventually turned to tears for his lovers and admirers. The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has commended the gallantry of men of the Edo State Police Command, who foiled a robbery attack on a bank in Igarra, in Akoko Edo Local Government Area of Edo State. Obaseki expressed regret over the death of some persons while the attack lasted and prayed for the repose of their souls. He said those that were wounded would be treated and assured that the state government is working assiduously to rid the state of criminal elements, through vigorous synergy with the various security agencies in the state. “The attack is unfortunate and we will do all within our power to forestall such heinous incidents in the future,” the governor said. The long arm of law has finally caught up with a notorious criminal after his charmed failed him in Lagos. A deadly gang leader, Mr. Muyiwa Arowoye, popularly known as Swagger, has been arrested in Lagos by detectives after the dreaded suspect attempted to escape, as his charms failed him. Swagger was arrested and his charms were recovered at Ifako Ijaiye area of Lagos, from where he operated within and outside the state. Before his arrest, Swagger, was said to have been a nightmare for many DPOs, as many had been redeployed due to their inability to arrest the suspect. Stay away from drugs! About 24 hours after he was arrested for alleged armed robbery and attempted kidnapping, the police in Ondo State is yet to know the identity of a middle-aged man who has been sleeping due to effects of tramadol. During the parade of the suspect and other criminal suspects at the Ondo state police command headquarters yesterday in Akure, Ondo State, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Femi Joseph said the suspect and two others now at large had entered a pharmacy shop to carry out an operation when he was arrested. Joseph further said that the owner of the pharmacy on sighting the gang with arms, escaped through the exit door. According to him, the gang later came out of the shop at gunpoint and collected one Boxer Bajaj motorcycle from one Daodu Wale who arrived the chemist to buy drugs, the other two escaped with the bike, while the suspect who is yet to be identified, attempted to use the boxer motorcycle they came with to escape from the scene...

A 28-year - old bus driver , Abraham Umar, has been killed by suspected cult members at Cele bus stop, in the Ijanikin area of Lagos State . The police said the victim was set up by his friend who was obsessed with his ( Abraham’ s ) 17-year - old girlfriend. It was learnt that Abraham, aka Abi , was eating at the girlfriend’ s mother ’ s bamboo restaurant when the gunmen invaded the place around 9pm on Tuesday. They reportedly shot the Benue State indigene in the head , killing him on the spot. Our correspondent learnt that the case was reported at the Ijanikin Police Station and the girlfriend, identified only as Elo , was arrested.
