Gov. Ayodele Fayose said on Tuesday said that all the ongoing capital projects will be completed and inaugurated before vacating office on Oct. 16. The News Agency of Nigeria, (NAN) reports that the governor, made the promise while speaking at 2018 edition of the Annual Udiroko Festival in Ado Ekiti, the state capital. The governor said he had resolved to complete all ongoing projects in consonance with his promise while being sworn-in for a second term in office not to abandon any project embarked upon. According to him, his critics who were allegedly saying he embarked on employment of new hands into the state public service at the tail end of his tenure should also have asked him not to continue with projects he started. A Cambodian woman has been arrested by the Police over her involvement in connection with the kidnapping and torture of a Nigerian man in the capital’s Sen Sok district. District police chief, Hour Mengvang, said Iroegbu Uche Andrew, 46, sustained injuries to his back and cheek, on Saturday, after he was confined and tortured with a hot iron by her six Nigerian accomplices. The victim managed to escape while two of the suspects were smoking and left him unattended at the house. “The Cambodian woman was the victim’s girlfriend. She invited him to the house and let the other Nigerians abduct him for ransom. They tortured him and demanded $5,000 in return for his release. We’re still investigating,” Mengvang said. While the government’s lawyer, Yomi Alliyu, denied the involvement of the state government in the demolition exercise, the Special Adviser to the Oyo State governor on Physical Planning and Development Control, Waheed Gbadamosi, admitted that it was the government that demolished Ayefele’s Fresh FM building. An alleged ballot box snatcher has died after a pistol in his pocket triggered and killed him instantly . Our correspondent gathered that the dead suspect was about to snatch a ballot box at the NEPA area voting unit when he was accosted. An Eye witness said that the suspect had a shotgun in his pocket which triggered , killing him as some voters wrestled with him . Another person said the suspect stabbed a party loyalist who tried to prevent him from snatching the ballot box which angered other party members who swooped on him and stabbed him in the neck and he died before help could reach him . Man Kills His Brother In-law In Benue The corpse tied on the motorcycle (Okada) is late Emmanuel Onwe. He was killed by his brother in-law, Mr Audu Friday at Okploba in Ogebe, Apa-Agila community, Ado Local Government Area of Benue State. The plane was taxiing when the pilots spotted motorcycle riders using the runway with them. It is alleged that they stormed the airport to welcome one of their political leaders. The corpses of the corpers that drowned in a river southeast of Taraba State, were today transported back to their various states and families. Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), gathered in a sorrowful state to pay their last respects to their colleagues who died few days ago in the tragic incident. The corps members were on a swimming expedition in River Mayo-Selbe, a major tributary of the Benue River, when a water surge from a nearby mountain collapsed on them and swept nine of them into the massive river.
