{NEWS ZONE} ~ BREAKING: SOLDIERS, OTHER SECURITY AGENTS TAKE OVER APC NATIONAL SECRETARIAT

As the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) finally begins its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, February 27, reports say the party’s headquarters has been taken over by heavily armed security agents. It was reported that as early as 6am, truckloads of armed soldiers and policemen set up security barricades and checkpoints at the main entrance and exit of Blantyre Street, the location of the party’s national secretariat.
The report said President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the 24 governors on the platform of the APC are expected at the meeting.
Currently, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi, Bello Masari, and Umar Ganduje, his counterparts in Katsina and Kano have reportedly arrived the venue of the meeting.
Meanwhile, to enable members of the Senate on the platform of the APC attend the NEC meeting, the upper legislative chamber has adjourned its plenary for Tuesday, February 27.
The majority leader of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, moved that the plenary be adjourned, and this was unanimously granted by the members.
It was also reported earlier that the party’s national caucus met in the evening of Monday, February 26 with President Muhammadu Buhari in attendance. The party had earlier released a statement saying the national caucus meeting would hold at the presidential banquet hall, Aso Villa Abuja followed by the NEC at the party’s national secretariat.

President Muhammadu Buhari, his deputy, Yemi Osinbajo, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the national chairman of the APC, John Odigie-Oyegun, governors, the speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and many other top members of the party attended the meeting
